Is That Digital Camera Still In Your Closet?

I'll bet 9 of 10 people who bought a digital camera in the past 10 years tried it, putting it on "AUTO", quickly became dissatisfied with their results, and after a few months threw the camera in the closet or a dresser drawer.

Why?

Two reasons: One, their phone works and that's their first choice. Easy, foolproof, good photos in most cases. Great advances in technology over the past 10 years.

Two, they never took advantage of the incredible power that a digital camera has, because they never learned how to use the camera!

Most people have no idea how to use ISO, shutter speed and aperture to capture great photos with a digital camera. These are the basics but most just put it on AUTO and expect the camera to do the rest.

Big mistake.

Don't let the camera control you; you need to control the camera.

More in future posts ... especially dealing with why a phone can't hold a candle to a decent (not even expensive) digital camera.
